Being crafty to save some bucks…  

So we moved into our home not that long ago and we’re still getting settled in. We purchased some window treatments and holy moly were they expensive!! The treatments we purchased are not for every single window in our home. There are still some windows that are naked and could use some treatments; like my office. I enjoy making things with my hands and being crafty so I decided to use my craving for craftiness for good use- to save some bucks and make some roman shades. Wah-lah– see the pic! They may not be the best looking roman shades but they do the job. My fiancée even suggested that I dress up another window in our home –though I think he is so encouraging to avoid having to purchase more custom shades and I totally get it. I looked up some tutorials on how to make these shades in case you’re interested. I have to make one more roman shade for my office just like the pic below.. we’ll see how that goes! Keep you posted!
